Help celebrate the contribution of older residents in Merton

Volunteers needed on 'Silver Sunday', 3rd October, to assist at the The Mayor of Merton's 'Afternoon Tea', to celebrate older people and their contribution to the local community.

 Would you like to help celebrate the contribution of older residents in the Borough?

Sunday the 3rd October is national Silver Sunday and The Mayor of Merton will be inviting older residents in the borough to “Afternoon Tea”, as a celebration of older people and their contribution to the local community.  The event is an opportunity for people who may live on their own, to meet other like-minded residents and organisations.  

Volunteers are needed to help set up and take down the arrangements at the venue as well as to assist with food service on the day.

The event will be held at: The Hub, Tooting & Mitcham United FC, Bishopsford Road, Morden, SM4 6BF.  Event preparations will commence at 12.30pm for a 3pm start and will be finished at 6pm.
