Volunteer at Start of the Line Festival 2026!

Could you help welcome people to one of Merton’s biggest cultural events of the year?

Start of the Line Festival returns to Morden Park in 2026, bringing together live music, community activity and local pride for a one-day celebration in the heart of the borough. Alongside performances from nationally recognised artists, the festival will showcase local talent, creativity and community spirit.

We’re looking for friendly, reliable volunteers aged 18+ to help the day run smoothly and create a positive experience for festivalgoers.

Volunteer roles available:
• Wayfinders
Help visitors find their way around the site, support people with accessibility needs and provide information throughout the day.

• Festival Runners
Support stage managers and production teams by helping move equipment and assisting across different festival areas.

• Festival Support Staff
Assist staff and artists backstage and within festival zones, helping with the smooth running of activities across the site.

• Feedback Collectors
Speak with festivalgoers, gather feedback through surveys and short filmed vox pops, and help capture the impact of the event.

What volunteers will receive:
• A free festival ticket
• Meals and drinks during your shift
• Experience supporting a large-scale community event
• The chance to be part of a welcoming and supportive team

Most roles involve either a daytime or evening shift, with feedback collector roles offered in shorter paired shifts.

Whether you’re interested in events, community work, culture or simply want to get involved locally, we’d love to hear from you.
